Recipe:
1 Top up the water tank of your espresso machine. Grind a little finer than usual and place 16 g of coffee in your portafilter.
2 Gently tap the group handle to level the coffee grounds, ensuring they’re evenly distributed and aligned with the basket’s internal line.
3 Gently tamp to even out the coffee grounds and create a compact, even bed.
4 Place the portafilter inside the espresso machine and brew at 93°C until you yield 40 g of espresso, letting the pressure rise gradually and settle around 8–9 bars.
5 You should get a rounded, smooth shot with gentle bitterness for its roast level.
