We are thrilled to present our first ever single origin dark roast, sourced from a new partner farm—Basankhan Estate in Chikmagalur, Karnataka. 

This coffee is a journey of rich, complex flavours that will leave you craving for more. The Basankhan Estate is a family-owned farm located in Chikmagalur, Karnataka with a rich history spanning over 100 years. In addition to coffee, the estate cultivates a variety of other crops such as black pepper, oranges, cardamom, lemons, and bananas.

About Basankhan Estate

The Basankhan Estate is a family-owned farm located in Chikmagalur, Karnataka with a rich history spanning over 100 years. It was originally founded by their great grandfather, Mr. Gulamenabi, and subsequently managed by G. Abdul Wajid & Sons. Now in its fourth generation, the estate continues to flourish.

French Press

Brewing Method

  • Add 18 gm coffee to the French Press and start the timer.
  • Pour 50 ml water and stir twice.
  • After 30 sec, top up water to 200 ml and place the plunger on top.
  • At 4:10 minutes , plunge down slowly for 30 seconds.

Inverted Aeropress

Brewing Method

  • Add 16 gm coffee into the chamber, start the timer and pour 100 ml water.
  • Stir 3-5 times.
  • After 30 seconds, pour 140 ml water and stir twice.
  • After 2:30 seconds, flip the plunge.

Pourover

Brewing Method

  • Rinse filter paper with hot water to pre-heat the cone.
  • Discard the waste water.
  • Add 16 gm coffee and start the timer.
  • Pour 50 ml water and swirl the cone thrice.
  • Add 250 ml water and let it drip through

Brewing Method

  • Add 18 gm grounded coffee in a cup.
  • Pour 250 ml of hot water in a cup and stir for 10 seconds.
  • And let the coffee brew for 5 minutes, strain through the channi after it is brewed.
