About 12th Birthday Blend
An ode to collective craftsmanship, our 12th Birthday Blend is here.
With green beans grown and picked by communities of smallholder farmers in Araku Valley and Sirangalli village, Kodagu, and the dedicated team at Salawara Estate, this blend highlights a diversity of processing techniques, including the natural, washed and honey sun-dried methods.
To capture how it takes so many communities coming together to create something we love, we invited artists from our cafe and online communities and asked them to represent what community means to them. We're grateful for all their contributions and are excited to feature one of their artworks along with this special blend.
After fine-tuning the flavour profile for five days, our team chose to roast this blend to medium, and result is a balanced cup that opens with the aroma of berries, followed by notes of blueberries, tangerine, and milk chocolate, and each sip finishes with a chocolatey aftertaste.
A versatile, month-long offering, it works well black as well as with milk, for a variety of brewing methods, including espresso, Moka pot, French Press, Pour Over, and AeroPress.
