It’s Global Recycling Day, and here are some ways you can recycle your coffee and coffee products:
1. Easy Pour Sachets and Cold Brew Sachets
You can return the sachets of easy pour and cold brew bags to our warehouses in Bangalore, Mumbai, and Delhi NCR or to your nearest cafe, in return for ₹5 per sachet. We collect these sachets and send them in for recycling to our recycling partners.
2. Keep Cups and Reusable Cups
Bring your own reusable cup or keepcup to our cafes for your daily brew and get a 5% discount on your coffee order.
3. Compostable Coffee Grounds
Feel free to dump your coffee grounds in plants that require more acidic fertilisers like radishes and carrots. You can also come by select cafes to pick up used coffee grounds to use as compost or fertiliser. The cafes you can pick up the grounds from are:
Delhi NCR:
- 1AQ
- Vasant Kunj
- Vasant Vihar
- Galleria
- Sikanderpur
Bangalore:
- JP Nagar
- HSR Layout
Mumbai:
- Mumbai
- Kalaghoda
- Mahalaxmi
- Khar
- Versova
- Chembur
Pune
- Ghole Road
4. Paper Filters
Cloth filters and mesh filters for your drippers are reusable multiple times, but paper filters are a one-time use and cause paper waste every day. However, you can actually reuse paper filters multiple times, by taking care to wash with hot water, let the filters dry completely and brush off all coffee grounds before each use. There are also other ways to reuse these filters, as plant liners, grease strainers, and odour removers.
We have also made fairy lights out of paper filters!
5. Coffee Pouches
Our existing coffee pouches can be reused as packaging or storage since the aluminium lining and zip seal retains freshness for long periods of time. The pouches feature beautiful artwork made by local artists and can liven up your home or office.
