Riverdale Estate sits in the Shevaroy Hills of Tamil Nadu. Here, loamy mountain soil, rich in clay, silt and sand, creates ideal conditions for coffee, as well as crops like oranges, jackfruit and pepper.

A freshwater stream meanders through the estate, lending it the name Riverdale. Active since 1920, the farm became part of the Balaraman family's story in 2006, when brothers Prakashan and Mohan bought the estate. For Prakashan, this marked the start of his journey as a coffee producer.

Nearly two decades in, he has shaped Riverdale into one of the most exciting farms we get to work with. It is home to a culture of constant learning, with rare Gesha varietals, co-fermentation experiments, and a state-of-the-art cupping lab.
