Slow Pottery's Online Clay Jam
Instructor: Nikita Dawar, Founder, Slow Pottery
Time : 4pm to 6pm
We know that pottery can seem a bit overwhelming if you're new to it, but this session aims to help you get over your fear of delving deeper into this beautiful art form by introducing you to the basics in a fun way. This session by Nikita Dawar will teach you hand-building techniques using coiling and pinching clay to make your own coffee mug! You can then apply this technique to other items that you would like to create. This activity is great way to spend some much needed me-time or to bond with your children and friends! To make sure everyone has the materials we need, Slow Pottery will be sending each participant a clay kit for the workshop!
Please note that since these classes are taking place online, we won't be able to fire your pieces for you. If you know of a potter with a firing kiln in your city, you can ask them to fire your mug, but this class will help you understand basic techniques used in pottery.
