Our first offering from Producer Series '24, marks Kerehaklu Estate's return to the series. Our latest offering is a clean and complex light roast, processed using the thermal shock method.

Ripe coffee cherries, picked by seven of the estate's best pickers, were sorted, sterilised and then placed into black, food-grade airtight barrels. For the last 24 hours of fermentation, temperatures were elevated to develop a distinctive flavour.

The outcome is a rare treat that opens with the aroma of dark chocolate and cold cherries. Soon after, you notice a creamy mouthfeel and low bitterness. Layers of flavour unfold as the brew grows cooler, with hints of vanilla and sweet almonds when the brew is hot, and juicy, citrus fruits and berry-like acidity as it cools.

As Pranoy, one of the producers who envisioned and nurtured this lot, puts it, "This coffee strikes a neat balance between complex and clean, and manages to bring out some wine-like, jammy notes without being funky. It brews an enjoyable cup with a smooth finish."
