This light roast has a delicate and complex flavour profile with floral aromas and notes of cardamom, sweet citrus and brown sugar. This coffee has medium acidity, a low bitterness level, and an aftertaste of stone fruits like apricot and peach — which makes this light roast perfect to start your day with. Savour this coffee’s juicy body and crisp, clean mouthfeel, best brewed as a Pour Over, in the Moka Pot or with an AeroPress.

About Howdia Estate

Located in the Western Ghats in Tamil Nadu, Howdia Estate lies on the foothills of the Megamalai mountain range, also known as the ‘High Wavy Mountains’ for its cloud-covered peaks. The estate is sprawled over 60 acres of land and sits at an altitude of 5,000 feet, surrounded by reserve forest. Coffee is grown across 30 acres, while the rest of the estate is covered in cardamom.

Brewing Method

  • Pre-wet the filter paper, add 18g of coffee, and lock the cap into the chamber.
  • Start the timer and add 100 ml of water.
  • Gently stir 5 times and let it bloom for 30 seconds.
  • Add 120ml more water.
  • When it reaches the 2:20-minute mark, plunge slowly.

Moka Pot

Brewing Method

  • Add warm water in the lower chamber and fill the filter with coffee.
  • Screw on the top and place it on the stove on medium heat.
  • Remove from the stove once you hear a hissing sound.

Brewing Method

  • Pre-wet the filter paper and add 20g of coffee.
  • Start the timer and add 100 ml of water.
  • Let it bloom for 30 seconds.
  • Add 110ml more water and wait for 30 seconds.
  • When it reaches the 2:20-minute mark, screw the cap on, flip the AeroPress onto the cup and plunge slowly.

Brewing Method

  • Rinse the filter paper with hot water to pre-heat the cone.
  • Add 17g of coffee and start the timer. Pour 75ml of water and swirl the cone 4-5 times.
  • Let the coffee bloom for 30 seconds.
  • Then pour 75ml of water and stir 2-3 times.
  • After a minute, pour 100ml water into the cone.
  • Let the coffee drip through.
